The most fundamental question each web site or blog developer is asking these days is how to increase traffic coming to his or her site. The conventional answers is SEO (Search Engine Optimization) i.e. first you find the perfect niche by investing a lot of time using tools like key word planner etc. secondly you create an article related to that particular niche & incorporating all the important relevant keywords and links so that search engines can visit your page & give you a higher rank in their search engine results lastly you have to index your website or blog into different search engines using webmaster tools & then promoting your website or blog using different social media options.
The above paragraph is the conventional method that is still very relevant when it comes to driving traffic to your site but it is a slow & time taking process but these days every one wants to post an article on their website or blog & then he or she expects an instant increase in traffic for accomplishing this objective a new method has emerged that is very popular these days is to create a fan page related to your website or blog and attract a lot of visitors to your page & once you have lots of fans you can simply posts links to your article to drive traffic to your site & similarly you can join groups related to your particular niche and posts links in groups to drive traffic to your site or blog.
Both these techniques are perfectly fine but then the question comes to mind if SEO has really become irrelevant & do we need to spend a lot of time in researching our particular niche. The answer in my opinion lies in the fact that search engines have to become smarter & improve their algorithms to filter all the bad content & gives the user quality , reliable and accurate content which he or she is searching for.
